Bob Sloand

Bio: A talented h.s. wrestler in both NY and NJ, Bobby placed in the 1972 Olympic Trials at 105.5 lbs.

Wrestling at four weights (118-142), he wreaked havoc in the 1976 NCAAs by upsetting #1 seed Steve Hunte of Iowa (9-8, o.t.) and placing 4th after reaching the semifinals before incurring an injury. Always looking for a bar arm and WBFs, he pinned 17 men his final two years with his best overall record as a senior despite not placing nationally (20-3-2, with 8 falls and 12 bonus wins). However his '76 second semester shown brightest as a junior with his EIWA title and NCAA medal
