Gary Leinberger

Bio: A regular his last two seasons, Gary owns one the finest career dual records in Lehigh history: 17-1-2 for a .900 W/L pct. He was undefeated in duals his last two years (.944) and placed 3rd and 2nd at Hwt in '69 and '70.

His overall career record was 28-6-2 and he was seeded 9th nationally his senior year, in which he finished 18-2-1. The only blemishes: a tie and loss to NCAA 2nd, Dave Joyner, Penn St, and NCAA 5th, Schumacher, ESU, in a referee's decision, a rival whom Gary defeated earlier that season.

Gary was undefeated in Hwt duals (16-0) and his only dual defeat came as a sophomore against Syracuse 191 lb. NCAA champion, Tom Schlendorf.
