Pete Henning

Bio: Co-captain of the 1969 team, Pete was an integral part of the famous '67 LU team, filling in at 123 when Coach Gerry Leeman opted to send Mike Caruso and Joe Peritore up a weight. Henning scored a critical tie at the opening weight vs. Navy's NCAA 3rd, Gary Berger, before the largest-ever Grace Hall crowd (4,650) in Feb. '67. The dual meet was featured in Sports Illustrated.

Pete's dual meet record his first two seasons was 9-3-5 and he placed 2nd at 130 lbs in the EIWA in 1968. He later became a Captain in the U.S. Navy.
